The
Lancashire Alliance was formed in early 2001 by Keith Davies from
the Ace Of Spades Scooter Club in St Helens to bring all the scooter
clubs in Lancashire together. The alliance caters for clubs, solo
riders or anyone who wants to get involved in scooters and also
for people who cannot get along to BRSA/VFM* rallies for whatever
reason.
At the start of the year all the "number ones" of each
club get together and organise an event for each month from March
to October these mainly consist of Sunday rideouts to other clubs
in the alliance. They all follow the same format of Bouncy castle
for the kids, custom show, disco and stalls selling parts etc.
There is no money involved, there is no charge for stallholders,
any money made from badges and patches goes back in the the club.
Everybody gets the chance to meet scooterists from other clubs.
The "Lancashire" alliance now covers North Wales, Mersyside,
North Manchester, Tameside, Cheshire, Shropshire and Greater Manchester.
